Genoa stretches along the coast. The venue of the meeting, Villa Quartara - Badia della Castagna (via Romana della Castagna), and the hotel where participants and speakers will be stayng, AC Hotel (corso Europa 1075, Genova -www.mbetravel.com/genoa-hotels/hotel/ac_hotel_genova ) is on the eastern part of the city.
Genoa International Airport C. Colombo lies west of Genoa.
The two major railway stations are: Genova Principe (westward) and Genova Brignole (eastward). Not all trains - particularly from Northern Italy (e.g., Milano) - pass through Genova Brignole.

ARRIVALS AT GENOVA "CRISTOFORO COLOMBO" AIRPORT

From early morning to late evening, bus service ("VolaBus") is available that connects the airport to Genoa Brignole train. The VolaBus bus departs from immediately outside the arrivals terminal. Travel time to Brignole approximately 25 minutes.

Tickets (€ 6.00) are purchased directly on board and are valid for 60 minutes, thereby giving passengers the chance to reach downtown Genova and then catch the no. 17 bus, which stops right outside the front entrance of the AC Hotel. (See photo)

Immediately outside the station and across the square is the platform/stop from where the number 17 bus can be caught. (See Photo)
ARRIVALS AT MILAN MALPENSA AIRPORT
Everyday at 12:30 a coach leaves Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 - exit 4, stop number 17 (12:35 from Terminal 2 - stop number 13). The bus will be marked "Volpi". Tickets - € 27.00 - are purchased on board. The duration of the journey to Genoa is approximately 3 hours. The coach arrives in Genoa in Piazza della Vittoria, recognizable for its monumental arch surrounded by an enormous parking lot. Immediately to the north of Piazza della Vittoria is Genoa Brignole train station/Piazza Giuseppe Verdi (see photo), from where the number 17 bus can be taken to reach the AC Hotel.
If your arrival time does not coincide with the departure times of the Volpi coach service, there are a number of alternatives (train, airport shuttle) in order to reach the Milan Central train station, from where Intercity (rapid) trains depart every hour for Genoa Brignole station.
BY CAR
Exit the A12 highway at GENOVA NERVI. Proceed in the direction GENOVA CENTRO. Merge with traffic on Corso Europa. Keep to your right and after less than 1 km. proceed up a short ramp (Via Stefano Turr), at the top of which turn left to cross the bridge and then turn immediately to the left again in order to return onto Corso Europa in the opposite direction. The AC Hotel is located only 400 meters ahead (See map below). Note: to reach the venue directly, continue on the blue route on the map, turning on to Via Antica Romana della Castagna (marked by a street sign reading “Badia Benedettina”).
AC HOTEL TO CONFERENCE VENUE
As announced, all speakers and participants will be staying at the AC Hotel, just under a 5-minute walk from the conference venue, Villa Quartara (see below). Signage will mark the way.
