Grants
For the First TRiPR Conference “Anticipating Changes in Drug Development for Children: Building on Paediatric Rheumatology”, as many as 60 grants made available by the European Union’s Marie Curie Actions Programme covering registration fees, local accommodations and travel expenses up to a maximum amount based on distance will be awarded on a competitive basis.
Eligibility criteria
In compliance with Marie Curie Actions Programme policies, grants will be awarded to candidates belonging to any one the following groups:
- Early Stage Researchers, i.e., researchers with up to 4 years of full-time postgraduate research activity (candidates holding a PhD or similar doctoral degree are not eligible) - 20 grants max. available;
- Experienced Researchers, i.e., researchers with up to 10 years full-time postgraduate research activity (including candidates holding a PhD or similar doctoral degree) - 30 grants max. available;
- Experienced Researchers with more than 10 years of experience, who are nationals of Member States* or Associated States** and are active outside these countries at the time of the event - 10 grants max. available.
Note that no geographic limitations on country of origin apply to group 1 and 2 candidates.
Successful applicants will have:
- Conference registration fees (including tuition, meals and social events) covered in full;
- 3 nights hotel accommodations c/o the AC Hotel;
- Refunding of their travel costs within the following thresholds (distance = one-way journey, not cumulative round trip):

For example, a participant traveling from Berlin to Genoa - 959 km “as the crow flies” - would be entitled to a refund of no more than € 500.00.
Applications
In order to apply for a Marie Curie grant, simply indicate on the registration form the category to which you belong.
Applicants must submit, together with their curriculum vitae/list of publications, an abstract on one of the following topics:
- Networking: pre-clinical and/or clinical results achieved through networking in rare, orphan diseases;
- Methods: biometric and in-silico models for rare, orphan diseases;
- Biomarkers in rheumatic diseases: definition and validation processes.
