GENERAL INFORMATION
Genoa stretches along the coast.
The venue of the meeting, Villa Quartara - Badia della Castagna (via Romana della Castagna), and the two suggested hotels, AC Hotel (corso Europa 1075, Genova -www.mbetravel.com/genoa-hotels/hotel/ac_hotel_genova ) and Iris Hotel (via Rossetti, 3, Genova - www.hoteliris.it), the Astor Hotel (Viale delle palme 16, Genova - www.astorhotel.it) and Hospice Istituto di Cultura e Lingue Marcelline (Via San Nazaro, 20, Genova) are on the eastern part of Genoa.
Genoa International Airport C. Colombo lies west of Genoa.
The two major railway stations are: Genova Principe (westward) and Genova Brignole (eastward). Not all trains - particularly from Northern Italy (e.g., Milano) - pass through Genova Brignole.

ARRIVALS AT GENOVA "CRISTOFORO COLOMBO" AIRPORT (west of Genoa)

Every hour, every day of the week from early morning to late in the evening, the Volabus service will take you to Principe Railway Station in approximately 20 minutes.
First service from Genova Airport at 6.00 AM, last service at 23.20 PM.
Catch the bus immediately outside the arrivals terminal.
The ticket (purchased on board at € 4.00) gives you access to AMT Genova and Trenitalia's urban transport network (Daily Integrated Tourist Ticket).
ARRIVALS AT GENOVA PORTA PRINCIPE RAILWAY STATION
Genova Porta Principe railway station is connected to Genova Brignole railway station by the local trains.
Alternatively we suggest you take a taxi to your hotel (approx. fare 25-30,00 euros).
ARRIVALS AT GENOVA BRIGNOLE RAILWAY STATION
If you arrive at Genova Brignole Railway Station you can take a bus to your hotel: the number 17 bus (eastward) which stops in front of the AC Hotel or the number 15 bus (eastward) to reach the Iris Hotel.
ARRIVALS AT MILANO MALPENSA AIRPORT
Direct connections to Genova:
Everyday at 11:30 AM a coach leaves Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 or 2 from outside exit 4, precisely from stop number 17. The bus will have "Volpi" (the name of the company that runs the service) written on its side.
You must book your seat by phone n. +39 010 586511 and purchase the ticket - 22.00 euros- on board or purchase it by the internet (www.volpibus.com). The duration of the journey from Malpensa-Genova is approximately 3 hours.
The coach arrives in Genova in Via E. F. Duca d‘Aosta, just 200 meters away from Genova Brignole Railway Station.
If your arrival time does not coincide with the Volpi service, please know that there are other alternatives available to connect from Malpensa Airport to the Milano Central Railway Station, and from there, an Intercity (rapid) trains leaving every hour for Genova Brignole and Genova Principe.
LEAVING FROM MALPENSA
Connections from Genova to Malpensa run every day at 6.00. Booking by phone or by the internet is required. The ticket purchased on board coasts 25,00 euros.
