The Venue
Since 2003, the Giannina Gaslini Institute has utilized for its major training events the facilities of the Badia Benedettina, an expansive complex comprising the former convent, the historic Villa Quartara (the structure dedicated to training actions), and a large park sloping down toward the sea. Situated less than a kilometre from the Gaslini Institute, the Badia will form a hub around which a number of the Hospital's strategic initiatives will develop.
The International School of Pediatric Sciences, the Gaslini Insitute's dedicated in-house training structure, regularly organizes Gaslini-sponsored events at the Badia/Villa Quartara. The complex includes three modular classrooms, each fully fitted with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment; a fully autonomous and networked secretariat; a faculty meeting room (capacity 20 persons), plus two smaller meeting rooms (capacity 6-10 persons each). From September 2009 additional spaces and meetings will be operational. |
