Grant

Grants covering registration fees and local accommodations in student/youth hostels will be awarded on a competitive basis. Depending on demand and financial availability, the organizers forsee awarding 20 grants.

Candidates must meet eligibility and age/qualification criteria (e.g., < 36 years of age) and must present an abstract of no more than 400 words on either a particularly interesting clinical case or ongoing research activity related to the topics and themes covered by the course syllabus.

Please note that abstracts are invited only from participants wishing to compete for a grant.

A Selection Panel will evaluate submitted abstracts, with awards being made according to scientific excellence; other factors, such as the candidate’s gender, age and experience, will also weigh on the selection of Grant awardees.

Candidates whose abstracts are selected will be given 15 minutes, and should be prepared to deliver a presentation that leaves as much time as possible for questions/answers and discussion (5-6 slides max.).

Candidates whose abstracts are not selected for presentation will nonetheless be requested to informally present their work (without slides) during a pertinent “Meet the Expert” breakfast session.

To apply, candidates should send their abstract to the course Organising Secretariat (lenacosulich@ospedale-gaslini.ge.it), together with:

  • a completed and signed registration form
